| Loughborough Canal Trip - May 2010
It was a hot still day. The temperature reached 26C and
the sky was sailor blue. We met at the Peter Le Marchant Trust boat
mooring for our day out and at 10am we set sail. Onboard with us was a
group from the Leonard Cheshire Home at Newlands House Swadlincote
sharing the boat with us; a residential home that caters for disabled
people. We headed off in the direction of Mount Sorrell where we would
dock 2 hours later for lunch. It was a lovely smooth ride with a fantastic
scenic panorama that unfolded before our eyes.
